Bullnose Flashings

Bullnose is the term given to a curved fascia on a building, the fascia will generally be a semi circular or an aerofoil  shape and is used to create a feature on the roof edges that will stand out on a building.
Generally made from Powder Coated Aluminium formed in a smooth curve, however other materials are used such as;

  • Coated Steels – Plastisol, Arcelor Granite HDX, TATA PVDF – as these materials are general only light gauge we only recommend making these where the diameter does not exceed 300mm.
  • Stucco Finish aluminium.
  • Aluminium and plastic composites, alucobond or similar.

At Eliteform we use the latest 3D software to create a model showing the intended profile rendered onto a drawing of the building before manufacturing, this allows us to check that the profile works and produce to a high level of precision.

Using these drawings we can transfer the information to our laser and punch machine to cut out profiles for corners and also to create curves by laser cutting the ends of the straight sections and in suitable lengths to create as smooth a curve as possible, on complex buildings each part will have an ID stamped to assist with site installation.

All corners are fully welded in aluminium with all welds cleaned off and sanded to leave a sharp finish.

Joining straps can be supplied loose, welded in on one side or we can provide welded threaded studs to allow for easy installation on site.
